Argentinians look down on every one who is not uruguayan (who are also mostly european), they can't get along with any one in the continent, Brazilians are macacos (monkeys), paraguayans are marrones (darkies), peruavians are indians (indians is very derogatory).

Brazilians look down on every one under the illusion that having the biggest country andthe most populated in the neighborhood makes them the greatest, also under the illusion that brazil is a mirror image of europe,hehehe, and also with the idea, that they are the USA of latin american, when in reality that rest of latin america relatively could care less about Brazil and regards them as mulato looking, and as a country full of poverty.

I can't really disagree with you, you seem to know your shit from what I've seen in your other posts also.

You've pointed out facts and reality but you have to also analyze the reason for these realities. Latin Americans are very traditional. Things don't really change, they just get passed down. And that's why the racism and self consciousness is pretty immovable. I remember I was watching Judge Mabeline and this Mexican guy was talking about how the man always comes first and if they hit the woman they're not supposed to do anything back etc. etc. Americans on the other hand are not traditional. We barely have a culture of our own since Americans are really just English people detatched from England. And therefore there was room for new ideas and it was easier to battle racism. And that's why black Americans are pretty much more educated, more successful, and more respected than blacks in Europe or Latin America. Which is kind of sad seeing as we only make up 13 percent of North America. Black Latinos are like 200 million strong.

Well I don't think being mixed really eradicates racism. You're right, Latinos are a glimpse of the future. They're mixed for the most part and they still have more racial issues than the U.S., so I guess that's what we're all in store for. Actually Castro has some black in him which he isn't ashamed of. And he's done for Afro-Cubans what no other Latin American countries have done for Afro-Latinos. Most of the other ones are pure white though. Like Pitbull, Cristina, Raul Molino, Cameron Diaz, Andy Garcia, etc.

Argentinians look down on every one who is not uruguayan (who are also mostly european), they can't get along with any one in the continent, Brazilians are macacos (monkeys), paraguayans are marrones (darkies), peruavians are indians (indians is very derogatory).

Brazilians look down on every one under the illusion that having the biggest country andthe most populated in the neighborhood makes them the greatest, also under the illusion that brazil is a mirror image of europe,hehehe, and also with the idea, that they are the USA of latin american, when in reality that rest of latin america relatively could care less about Brazil and regards them as mulato looking, and as a country full of poverty.

I can't really disagree with you, you seem to know your shit from what I've seen in your other posts also.

You've pointed out facts and reality but you have to also analyze the reason for these realities. Latin Americans are very traditional. Things don't really change, they just get passed down. And that's why the racism and self consciousness is pretty immovable. I remember I was watching Judge Mabeline and this Mexican guy was talking about how the man always comes first and if they hit the woman they're not supposed to do anything back etc. etc. Americans on the other hand are not traditional. We barely have a culture of our own since Americans are really just English people detatched from England. And therefore there was room for new ideas and it was easier to battle racism. And that's why black Americans are pretty much more educated, more successful, and more respected than blacks in Europe or Latin America. Which is kind of sad seeing as we only make up 13 percent of North America. Black Latinos are like 200 million strong.

When asking them they answered that the reason why they hate them is that the Peruvians living there seem to be stealing their jobs and claiming less money than a Chilean would have. And THEN they add that they're stupid, uneducated, short, ugly etc.. I kinda understand them coming from a less rich household but would they feel the same when a German guy took their job? No.. just because they feel like they're superior to Peruvians.. and it's not because the German guy is better educated. Simply because of the fact that he's white.

That's true, Colombians are so diverse and think it gives them the right to look down on one another. I forgot to write that.. Also the caleños think they got the best women, which is not really a lie lol but there are ugly caleñas too! What they DO have is the best salsa. One less big part of my family lives in Bogotá and boyyy they are stuck up but I refuse to believe that most rolos are stuck up. I've never heard any Colombian talk bad about central american people. Here's a couple more I gathered from Colombians:
The "rolos" from Bogota (the capital) think they are the best, most educated,and look down upon the rest of the country.
The paisas (Medellin and surrounding areas) look down upon the costenos (coastal people from Barranquilla,Santa Marta etc.) saying their loud, lazy, mixed race or black (not true Shakira's from the coast)

Your going to try and sit their and say the black component is the largest?? I would say its the smallest. Most people I know here are mixed white and taino looking and in the island most people are mixed white and tiano looking and white. Dominicans have a large black component. Theres more Taino influence than African. And Puerto Ricans were much lighter than the rest of the caribbean so more european 2

History always talks about how they were all killed off almost immediately, but now with the genetic test they've conducted they did contribute to the racial makeup of the 3 spanish islands, Cuba, DR, PR. PR has had the most extensive test done so far, other test in Cuba and DR have also found Taino genes on the maternal side. These other test are ongoing, but based on the initial test , i've read anywhere between 18%-20%. Of course Cuba & DR have much more of the African mix than PR.

At least 61% of Puerto Ricans possess the same DNA as Indians who inhabited that Caribbean island before the arrival of Columbus, says Prof. Juan Martinez Cruzado, a geneticist at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez.

This is an astounding discovery. For centuries, historians have claimed that Puerto Rico's 50,000 Taino Indians all but disappeared through massacres, disease or overwork within 50 years of the Spanish conquest.

But that was before the Arecibo skeletons were found.

In 1980, a construction crew erecting a boardwalk in the northwestern coastal town of Arecibo unearthed the skeletons of four Indians. The remains eventually were donated to Prof. Martinez Cruzado. Carbon testing revealed they dated from A.D. 645, making them ancestors of the Tainos.

In 1999, Martinez Cruzado got a grant from the National Science Foundation to compare the DNA of the skeletons with that of modern Puerto Ricans. Since then, his team has taken samples from a scientific cross-section of 800 people throughout the island.

Initially Martinez Cruzado analyzed mitochondrial DNA - a genetic marker that can be used to trace heredity through female ancestors.

The research, tabulated only during the past few months, revealed that 61% of the sample had the same DNA as the four Indian skeletons. In addition, 27% had the DNA of Africans, while only 12% had the DNA of white Europeans.

"This challenges the traditional view that Indians in Puerto Rico became extinct in the early 16th century," Martinez Cruzado said in a phone interview yesterday.

"Rather, it suggests there were Indian groups that established themselves at the margins of colonial society and they eventually became assimilated into it."

The mitochondrial study, the professor points out, only shows what genetic material was passed on from mothers to children, not the impact of any male genes on future generations. For that, he had to examine the Y chromosomes - the genetic markers for male heredity - of Puerto Ricans.

"Our samples for the Y chromosome were almost exactly reversed," he said.

About 70% of the Y chromosomes in his 800 samples showed European traits, 20% African and 10% Indian.

According to the professor, the European dominance among male genes makes perfect sense. Most of the early European settlers in Puerto Rico were men, and many intermarried or had children with Indian women, and later with female African slaves.

The fact that so many Puerto Ricans have both Amerindian and European DNA, and that more than 20% possess African DNA, "suggests a greater racial mix" than anyone previously imagined, Martinez Cruzado said.

I'm not going to argue with you over the obvious fact that Puerto ricans are tri-racial. Whether african is a "minority" is irrelevant. African americans are a "minority" in america but they are 15% of the population (of 300 million), thats still a force to be reckoned with.

heres lineage the break down of PR's according to the facts:

Male Female
african 20% 27% total 47%
indian 10% 67% total 77%
european 70% 10% total 80%

80% have european ancestry, 77% have indian and just under 50% have african (thats around 2 million people on the island just incase you can't do math)

I can't really disagree with you, you seem to know your shit from what I've seen in your other posts also.

You've pointed out facts and reality but you have to also analyze the reason for these realities. Latin Americans are very traditional. Things don't really change, they just get passed down. And that's why the racism and self consciousness is pretty immovable. I remember I was watching Judge Mabeline and this Mexican guy was talking about how the man always comes first and if they hit the woman they're not supposed to do anything back etc. etc. Americans on the other hand are not traditional. We barely have a culture of our own since Americans are really just English people detatched from England. And therefore there was room for new ideas and it was easier to battle racism. And that's why black Americans are pretty much more educated, more successful, and more respected than blacks in Europe or Latin America.
