LOL. You are my type of admin, straight up and forward. LOL. i think there shouldn't just be mods for the whole thing, i think there should be a different mod for each section. That way the mods aren't stepping all over each other in each section. I used to be a mod for a few forums, and if goes WAY smoother that way. Also... i wouldn't give anyone ip banning privelages until they have been a mod for a while and have proven they can deal with those abilites without abusing them. You find too many people out there that just want the MOD status so they can look cool on the forum. I would make it only so that they can delete post and edit them. For now that would be sufficent. Sameer and you can do the rest if needed. There are too many people out there on a power trip. Also i think racist people shouldn't be up for a mod position. Racism isn't accepted in society so it shouldn't be accepted on forums. I think personally all racist people flaming other races openly ( i'm not mentioning names but we know certain ones ) should be banned with no questions asked. Anyways that is just my way of looking at things and my previous experience. If you want more ideas i can post them for you as well.

Ok i know this is going to piss off a BUNCH of people, but i think it needs to be said. STOP ASKING TO BE A MOD! He obviously has dawgz here watching and i bet he is gonna ask dawgz who he thinks should be mods. Why keep asking? There is no point to it. It's like when you were a little kid, and you kept asking your parents for shit. What did they do? They got pissed and said no i bet. That is what is going to happen, you keep asking and there go your chances RIGHT OUT THE DOOR. Not sure if you guys even know what being a mod means. Here are some of the duties

1). Keep a clean forum, yet do not misuse your authority
This means you can delete people and if they allow mods to ban them then you can do that. But you have to use common sense, don't just ban someone on their first offense for talking trash. COMMON SENSE

2). You are gonna have to eat shit basically. From my experience it is better if you just eat shit. Plain and simple, you have to watch what you say to people on here. The things you say represent the site you are a mod for. You make yourself look bad, then the whole site looks bad.

3). Constantly on. You have to be constantly checking up with things, keeping up with what is going on. Are you willing to invest a lot of time to making the site? Even if that means that you can't play around on the forums the whole time?

These are just SOME of the responsibilities MODS will have to do and put up with when selected. Many people don't realize HOW HARD it is being a mod and an admin. The moronic questions/posts by people will drive you crazy. Believe me, i was a mod for a few sites, they ended up shutting down the forums cause it just gets out of hand.


Dawgz this is a word of advice to you man. If you guys don't have the ip grabber installed on your site, DO IT. Ban their ip from the site... if you can i would ban their isp account myself actually, cause many users have static ip's or use dial-up. Which means the static ip changes once every week or so, so after a week they can just sign right back up with another name. Dial-up means they get a new ip each time they sign in. So yea dial-up users are a PAIN! If you need help on how to install it i MIGHT be able to help. But i bet you can figure it out.

BTW this wasn't meant to pick on certain people or to piss off others. This was meant to show you guys that i bet this is getting on their nerves just asking over and over and over. But if dawgz and sameer don't mind, then keep going ahead lol. This is just my imput on things.
