Ok imma try and see if dawgz will do a computer area since i know i ain't the only one who works on them or helps out others. Imma see if he can make an area for talking about computers, computer help, troubleshooting, setting up programs, advice on purchases/downloads etc. etc. etc.

But for now post your questions/ whatever here.

Here is a few things i have some advice on for now

Best:
Internet Browser - Firefox. http://www.getfirefox.com/
Firefox is an INCREDIBLE internet browser. As for those who don't know what an internet browser is, it is what internet explorer is basically. Well this one has an integrated pop up blocker that works AWESOME, i believe a download excellerator, and many other key features users love. GET THIS NOW!

Anti-Virus - Avast. http://www.avast.com/
Avast i have heard is an INCREDIBLE antivirus out right now. ALWAYS up-to-date and easy to use. Another great anti virus is panda anti virus.

Chat Client - Yahoo! Messenger http://messenger.yahoo.com/
Yahoo messenger is the ONLY chat client or p2p chat client i use. This has a great i-face, easy to use, user friendly. This doesn't have chatroom admins watching all the time at what you say! You can create your own chatrooms, or have personal conferences with other friends. So many features it is unreal. Unlike aim, msn, and so on this has GREAT smiley faces and neat stuff like that too. Check it out if you don't have it already.

P2P Filesharing Program - LimeWire Pro 4.8.1. Pm me to upload a FREE copy of pro for you ;).

This is FAST easy, and has a number os file downloads. This doesn't have those copywritten mp3's or those mislabled files like kazaa and many others have. AWESOME!

Cd Burning Program - Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 Http://www.roxio.com/
Unfortunately this isn't free and you most likely won't find a ripped version of this any time soon either. Gotta pay for this one. This one can burn dvd's, cd's, and all that good stuff. AWESOME!

Mp3 Player - Winamp. Http://www.winamp.com/
This is easy, small, and handles very well. You can download skins for this made by other users of winamp. AWESOME!

hey i tired to do my disk clean up and da defragment thingy and da disk clean up worked fine but wen i did da defragment it said it could nto be finish cuz of sumthing missing????? help

Well i have gotten the ripped versions from irc, bit torrent, limewire, ares and all of those. It is missing dll's up the ASS! Because they had the disc copywrite the dll's. WHICH SUCKS! So yea if you can find a working copy of Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 that would be AWESOME! Cause everything else i have tried doesn't work. I am trying to find a download link of pay sites where you pay for the product online. After you pay they give you a link to download it from. Wish i could figure out a link LMFAO!

If you want i can get you a speedy defragger. This one is seperate than the windows xp issued one. Usually for sale but i can get it cracked for you. Windows defragger hardly works for me when i try and do it. SUCKS! So if you want that just tell me and i will upload it to a link and send it to ya ;)

There are free web hosters out there. Try using one of those. Http://www.free--hosting.com/ or is it Http://www.free-hoster.com/ ? not sure. But that is a good one whichever one it is. Also try getting an ftp is you can. Those are the best.

Most places make it so that your ip is only able to make one account. Unless you have dial-up you won't be able to do what you are trying to do. Sucks.

That don't matter. See your isp gives your household a single ip to run off of. No matter if you are running a router or not. That means that both computers should have the same ip i believe. Not sure if this is true or not. I am thinking lol. Go for it though, if it works then hey that is cool.

yo can i get that Limewire software?

I currently use Firefox, its a great but their small little bugs that still need to be fixed. i just got the 1.0.3 version.

P2P - im using Soulseek http://www.slsknet.org/ , its great cuz unlike kazaa it doesnt have any spyware and no one company owns it, and they have full albums. but i want limewire for movies and games.

Bit-Torrent - i currently use Bit-tornado but there are tons of good torrent clients. thing good about bit-torrent is that u connect with individual pcs to download the files you want at higher download bitrates.

CD/DVD burning - i have the old Adaptec. but im hearing good things about Nero http://ww2.nero.com/us/index.html
