Should the United States federal goverment establish a foreign policy on limiting the use of weapons of mass destruction?

oh wow. i really don't hope that as a result of this forum people are gonna try to start sounding smart (i.e imaquitter). anyway... the U.S can't control the world. so they can go ahead and "set limits" but it's not like other countries are actually gonna abide by it. it's like law in the U.S... we know burglary is wrong, but we still do it. we know murder is wrong, but we still kill. we know drugs are illegal, but we still sell 'em and use 'em. so the U.S can set these limits but not countries actually gonna listen. and if we find out that they aren't following it, it's just another excuse for the U.S to go to war.

Some of you are saying that the U.S. should start out by not having Nukes. That is utterly stupid to mention. Why would the worlds biggest power house get rid of weapons that other countries are known to have? We have them because they have them. We have them because other countries are a threat with theirs too. For example N. Korea Or Iran. Hell, even Russia. Even if they didnt have them we'd still have them. Hence why other countries like Russia and China have them also. It all goes hand in hand. It's a matter of piece of secruity and not so much a matter of just having them because they have intentions on bombing enemies.

really? yeah... i listen to the people on the albinoblacksheep forums (http://albinoblacksheep.com). the debate section. i also read the paper... not so much because i don't like these editor's or columnist's views, especially since alot of the time media is just used to burn some ideology into people minds. how did i contradict myself? i accept people's views, and if you're right, you're right. you can only run with a wrong view for so long. so until i say something that is wrong and you expose that it's factually wrong, don't try and blast me like this. i know i'm not the only person that knows about this stuff, because obviously you and atlboi know about these things too.

but yeah its now about other peoples problems its about american interest.... people say stop the killin of our soldiers for a war that we dont support but than again.... i dont hear people complaining when gas prices go down... its all about american interest.. would you rather let them do their thang and we have to pay outrages prices for gas.. or would you let a few lives be lost so u can go out on the weekends and spend most of ur money on drinks and not gasoline... i know its a superficial view ..but life aint fair either is it

With all the technological advancements this country has made, and with everything that's become the standard, what was once demanded is now supplied by requirement. the concept of supply and demand really only applies to material things, i.e. clothing, electronics, etc.
rich getting richer and poor getting poorer is a relevant concept when speaking about taxation, etc.
Perhaps the idea you're trying to convey is gasoline/oil's monopoly on energy. The fact is, for a lot of the things we use on the daily, gasoline is required. The companies who own and provide gasoline have a monopoly on energy. There's no adequate competition. That's why they're putting such a big fight against electric cars, and the new gas/electric hybrids. We've had the technology for years to handle electric cars, so can you imagine how much money the oil industry'll lose if we started fueling cars in a more cost-effective manner?

Yeah i do, we should first start off by banning all weapons of mass destruction starting with the USA and ISREAL first. The policy should be no weapons of mass destruction rather then the big bully USA deciding on how to run the world, so others have no weapons to defend themselves whilst the west leading with USA exploiting the muslim world, it has to STOP :cool: :cool:
