Me and my pops had a discussion and he says that you can get a good workout in less than an hour.

And thats without supersets. I don't see how it works out, unless he take less than 10 sec breaks.

Me I spend about 2 hours in the gym.

What about you guys.

5 days a week

The time depends on your goals.

I do an hour a day, 5 days a week. ...1/2 hour weights, 15 mins cardio, 15 min shower.

and my workout kills me, and i love it. 5- 7 different exercises ,3 sets each.

I do 1 major body part a day..... which one i do, depends on my soreness (if i repaired or not).

Alotta people don't know, but days off are just as important as actally working out.

me personally i spend 3 hours on the gym .... if you can get a good cardio/lifting weights you ll be good you dont need more than 1 hour ... in case you wanna get big you need more than 1 hour so since im a mma fighter i dont wanna get big so i do cardio with light weight

2Strong4u
06-20-2006, 05:22 PM
Spending more time in the gym, will not get you big.. lifting heavy 6 reps max along with 3 sets will get you big.

Remember big don't mean shit, unless you work the slow twitch muscles.

Just working out...I bet it can be done in a good 30 minutes. If you include cardio/treadmill then probably 45 minutes to an hour.

But I only go to the gym to play bball. So 2-3 hours for me. =)

Is that even possible?

To build muscle you have to break them down and give them time to rebuild. If you do it 5 times a day, I doubt you're actually building anything.

damn desi that is way to much on cardio....for me 20 mins nonstop including your intensity level's 4 out of the 7 day's I work out to rest my leg works that I do....also when you do cardio's it's good to do it on an empty stomache....

What about you guys.there are 4 main body part's that I work on when I go to the gym:
12 10 8 6 12 or 12 12 10 10 12

chest
shoulder's
biceps
triceps
back

that is wat I work on bye the way...
it should only take like 40 to 50 mins to work out, between set's up to a minute. I don't know wat you work out that you spend two hours in the gym, but that is a long time, plus another 40 minutes on leg work....I switch day's that I worked out on the. For example: I did bench press on monday now wensday I am going to do the dumbell flies and for my last sets of 12's I am going to do bench press...

15-20 is cardio(cut means your dropping FAT, to show muscle), plus your getting PUMPED. Pumping blood into the muscle. Which gets you big for about 2 days, and then flat out.

People in competition do what you say above right before shows.

I do it about 1 week out of the month. 15-20 on a medium weight.

its actually unhealthy to your muscles to weight lift longer than an hour.

LOL I run for about one hour usually, mainly cuz I didn't feel like turnin my fat to muscle so I just decided to lose it instead. That works faster for me(I'm a fast metabolizer)so now I can focus on my muscles more.

oyye choco i got a question for ya...what burns more fat weight lifting or cardio?

Depends on your body...

The more muscle you have the faster you burn fat.

So, if you have alot of fat... cardio will burn more fat...but if you have alot of muscle, lifting will.

But a combination of both is the best choice.
