View Full Version : WHY is my body so weird?

I start working out TUESDAY

only problems with me is that I lose weight when I dont work out......and gain weight when I am working out........ I am weird! I am weighting about 125 right now.......I skinny I still have my chest but my arms have gotten significantly smaller.......once I start working out I can put on a few pounds I will get up to 140 within a month.


ANYONE have the same problem?

HELP!it's not a problem. muscle is more dense than fat. so when you work out. you gain muscle mass. and your fat mass decreases. thus making you 'weigh' more

i have the same problem.

i lose weight easy but i cant gain weight for shit.

.... eat apple pie and ice cream before you sleep.

i dont really gain much weight or lose much, kinda sad. but it jumps between 5 pounds every week. i ate all you can eat for a month 3 meals a day, n didnt lose/gain anything.

muscle weighs more than fat, so when you are working out the weight that you are putting on is coming from you gaining lean muscle mass. When you lose the weight it comes from you not working out and that means that you are losing that weight that you put on from muscle gain. There are a million different things that can contribute to the gain and loss of weight when working out but this is the most common one.

so your body is not weird it is actually quite natural to experience what you are going thru. That means you should work out and stick with it and I can promise you that you will see a constant gain in weight and muscle. you just have to find a routine that works for you.

you are still young. your metabolism is workin overtime. anythin you take in is burned up quickly. wait til you're above 21 yrs and keep eatin the same amount of food you take in now & watch yourself put on the pounds.

ok since you and your friend are so smart and between the both of you probably have the muscle of a housecat if you put on weight in muscle it will be more than in fat. I am not talking in the case of if you take the same weight. But if you and the genius would pick up a book it is true that muscle WEIGHS more than fat. It is a shown fact that a man weighing 196 lbs with lean muscle was put on scale with someone who weighed the same but had more body fat and the muscular person tipped the scale in his favor. Stop watching spongebob and go to the gym or pick up what they call a book and read. Gracias :wavey: oh and lil sho long time no see
