What makes the USA such a great country?

I know there are many people who may not agree that the USA is a great country but I think it is. Sure it is not perfect and most Americans will tell you that but I think the foundation stones for a great country have been laid and most Americans truly do believe in the ideals upon which the country was founded.

Interesting point. A great country is one where you can be as great or as awful as you choose to be. A country that creates the conditions for its people to be the the best in all fields without trampling on the rights of others.
