What is the BEST protein to buy and drink?

i have tried several different kinds and they all are fine.

whats the top-notch kind?

I lost alot of weight after gymnastics and am trying make mi legs thicker but not look TOO muscular.i don't eat enough calories as it is...

any suggestions

Drinking protein shakes for a girl probably isn't a good idea.

The level of "cutness" you're trying to get at can be done easily without adding a lot of fat. Fat is pretty much what protein adds. Just eat some egg whites, or other foods which are high in protein.

i drink protein in orange juice to give me the extra calories

and i don't like eggs...

i don't want to be bulky...i just need it to help me give me the extra cals.

If you don't want to be 'bulky' then protein shakes is not the way to go.

I don't know about Orange Juice, but just research foods which are high in protein. Eat them, and convert that into muscle. Honestly...as a girl, you shoudn't even have to do that. Just work out and get toned. Why do you need to add mass? Are you super-thin?

its like the powder u mix with water or something

i am on the track team i work out all the time...i am toned ...but i feel that my legs should be a lil bit thickerrr i dunno what to do

That's essentially a protein shake. That's like saying the kool aid you buy in powder packets isn't kool aid. :p It is. The only difference is you make it yourself.

As for your legs. There's this one workout you could do that might help. It involves opening and closing them repeatedly.

i eat right....and i run everyday at track practice from 2:30-5 i work out :p

i mean i see results from track but...i dunno

aint nuttin wrong if you need a little protien boost if you cant get it in your diet nitro-tech has a really good protein powder it goes straight to your muscles thats my opinion

Hmm.. I ono.. I don't use anything. Just eat right and drink water - is all I do.
Hit the gym bout 4-6 times a week depending on skool and work.

Cardio for a good 30mins [On treadmill] at incline of like 10 on a 2.0speed.. Good for the culo and calf muscles. Or bike it, either way its still a good cardio work out.
Then I do a lot of ab work outs. About 100. [On like 3 different machines]
Then a good stress out take - Punching bag :]
Leg presses and arms.
And cool down..

Sometimes all in one visit. Sometimes different days of the week - depends on my mood..
Thats just a casual toneing - all I need actually. Flat nice tummy and a nice ass :]

this might sound crazy but orange and milk with a lil sugar is a very healthy/cheap protein drink

hey.... this is ma 2 cents. u want great protein go for isopure, nitro tech or 100% whey from optimun. they the best of the market rite now. if u wanna put a lil bulk add a lil bit of gatoreade to the drink for a carb spike. drink that during and after u work out. it should work. also if u can add, L-glutamine it will help ur msucle recover faster and repair them asap. this is for a clean bulk. if u wanna add mass all over u can try N-large2. i tried it for 3 weeks gained 4 pounds of solid mass. try to keep ur intake of protien very high, it will keep u lean and u will gain muscle. try 1 gram of protein per pound of body wegiht. try to get at least 6 meals a day with this u should be good. nice lean and fit.

Assuming you have a relatively high metabolism, you're going to want to eat enough carbs before working out to get the energy to go heavy with your leg workout. You should be doing squats, leg press, leg extensions etc and not a whole lot of cardio.

After workout, make sure to get enough protein from real (unprocessed) food into your system (chicken breast/ turkey breast/ tuna) and supplement (remember -it's a supplement and not a meal replacement) it with low carb protein shakes/ low-carb protein bars.

If you want muscular development, you have to eat high concentrations of protein. simple as that.
