is it better to diet and work out at the same time? or should you diet first down to the desired weight and THEN start to work out?

Depends what you're trying to do.

Are you trying to gain muscle mass? Are you trying to lose weight, and then just tone up a little? Explain what you're trying to do and I'm sure some of the muscle-heads on this forum can help you out. My idea of a 'workout' is bball.

i wanna lose weight but keep my skin 'tight' and not be flabby/squishy but not muscular either

diet but diest not starving yourself..eat healty.... and do alot of cardio and do weights for about 30 min

thats what i did after my pregnancy and i have been loosing drastic weight but my skin doesn't sag and its not flabby

diet and work out, ur diet is 60-70 percent of ur results, mix that with a work out to tone urself up... now wat u need to know is wat kind of workout u tryin to do, and wat works best for u... the best way is to find ur metabolic heart rate 1st, that makes it alot easier... then find your target heart rate, then when u get to ur resistance trainer it just depends on wat ur tryin to do
