Mobb Deep definatelly needs to make a move cuz they fell off. They dont even make noise on the mixtape circuit like they use to.... But signing to g-unit is not the right move for them. They sound good spitting off raw an rugged street beats. Not over some commercialized club anthem beats.

Yeah, they fell off a long time ago. They've just been livin off their 'Shook Ones' rep, they made history and they feel like they don't have to do it again I guess. That doesn't mean I wanna listen to their garbage ass lyrics. They do sound better on rugged beats, commercial beats will make them even worse.

I think some of yall are placing too much importance on who signs Mobb Deep's checks. M.O.P. was signed to Roc-a-fella for a little while, none of the shit they dropped was much different from what they've always done. The same thing goes for Cam'ron and Dipset goin to the Roc, they weren't swayed a whole lot one way or another.

It's a good look for Mobb. Hopefully they'll have some success.

I see what your sayin... but mobb deep was about some real shit... G-Unit and 50 specifically... are straight commercial. They have been since day one. On the mixtape circuit all their shit is garbage cuz it lacks ruggedness. Meanwhile if lead in the right direction mobb deep could blow up all over again. But 50 aint gonna be able to provide them with the right mentorship to get them there. Mobb Deep was making classics at the age of 19. 50 needed eminem and dre's help to blow up.

I just dont see this as a positive thing.

I don't think you really did see what I was sayin...just because 50 signs their checks doesn't mean he's going to dictate everything they do.

if they keep their shit the way they want to do it, then this is great news.

yea but i havent heard a decent mobb album in a long minute. 'hell on earth' is one of my fav album and they came back with a weak murda muzik after that.

havoc and alchemist with the production. and havoc is nasty with the rhymes too.
