I think the recent events throughout the world are definatelly some serious signs of the beginning of the end. Between global warming, tension in the middle east, north korea, and Prez Bush pissin off every other country in the world... It seems like the foundation is being built for an event that will severelly alter life here. But I dont think we'll see it in our life time. Maybe our great great grandkids.

Yeah that's what I say, let's all die together. My friend keeps saying that the world is going to end in 2012, LOL, yeah right. But even if it does it won't matter to me, I want to see what happens, see if we really go to Heaven or Hell or just decompose and have our energy recycled.

I'd have to agree....I dont necisarily think the world is coming to an end, but I do think that mother earth has a way of cleansing herself (thru earthquakes, tornados, monsoons, etc) from all the harm humans have put her through....this is just my theory :rolleyes:

well everyone tries to predict the year that it will come to an end. the jehova's witnesses come out w/ a new year every time one of their predictions passes. :rolleyes:

thing is, everything is happening at once at this point. nowhere in recorded history do you see so many disasters both natural and manmade happening all at once.

Even as a lil kid the end of the world has always tormented me. I remember having dreams of burning into ashes and others around me burning as well. These dreams and thoughts have been with me my whole life and always on the back of my mind.
So I researched this like crazy throughout the years and have read all about the myan calander ending @ 2012. Also the egyptian "timeline" found in a pyramid also ending @ the same time. Have also read about major earthquakes happening and totally creating a new USA, the way it looks from today. Including one that would make Lake Michigan "crack" @ the tip and create it to spill out all the way into the Gulf Of Mexico, in essence creating another "river"- Chicago was in the path...along with so many other places and cities. The Rocky Mountains looked like Islands, only the highest point of the Western USA sticking out of the water. California being pretty much gone.
All this didn't help my anguish. Didnt help my anxiety as a kid growing up, cause I think I learned too much disturbing stuff, too quick and as a kid. There are so many other things I have read, but wont go into detail....

On the other hand, I wonder if there hasnt been other times on earth where we have had as much distruction.. I.E earthquakes, hurricanes, etc..The diffrence is now we have soooo many people recording every event and tooo many media outletts "over reporting" on them for lack of other stories. I.E. CNN, FOX NEWS, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, AP, ETC...Can it be that this has always happened , but @ this time in history is when these events have gain the most attention/focus by human beings?

At the end of the day sometimes I dont know what to believe, and everyone has to make their own choices..but as I have grown, I have come to believe that this life is not all there is...it better not be! I do believe in God, and I do believe things are yet to come. When and why are still partially unanswered in my head. But my gutt instinct says something will happen..then again..isnt something always happening around the world? Hasn't it always been like that, but now we have the means of communication to hear about it a lot more? You be the Judge. Or is someone Going to Judge You?

and i have just given up on religion, and i just believe what i know and has been proven to me

my dad's family is Jehova's Witness
and my mom's side believes in Catholicism

i think Catholicism is out of the question when it comes to if its all real

saint worship and the use of candles and images was instituted as official church doctrine in the 5th century by the catholic church. this was in response to the numerous pagans who had converted to catholicism practicing this image and object worship. the catholic church allowed itself to ratify this as a measure of keeping people in the churhc

and yes, it is a form of paganism. worshipping anything other than God is totally forbidden. The first 2 commandments (in the hebrew) deal with worshipping God as one and not making images unto him
